EDP Games are up to 2-3 hours.  These games are played on Sundays.  Teams can expect 4 home matches and 4 away matches.

Travel teams typically practice at least two to three times per week.

  • Fall -  practices are held at Greenbush SC Facility on weeknight evenings or Saturday mornings through end of November.
  • November - training is held at University of Albany

  • Mid-March through April - training is held at University of Albany
  • Spring - practices are held at Greenbush SC Facility on weeknight evenings or Saturday mornings through end of June.

Travel practices focus on technical skill development and a sense of team. All travel teams are trained by USSF licensed coaches and trainers, who develop training and player development plans that best suit the players and teams in our program. The goal of Greenbush travel soccer is to develop technically sound players who fit into a team environment.

Training Locations

Greenbush SC practices at the following facilities:

Gear and Uniforms

The club utilizes a three to four year lifecycle for our uniforms. We are switching for the 2023/24 season. This year’s kit is approximately $115 and includes two jerseys, one pair of shorts, and one pair of socks. Any additional warmup jackets, backpacks, etc are optional, and not a required item.

  • Practice jersey will be given to all players (Free of charge)

Guest Play

Our administration will occasionally receive requests for a player to guest play with another club when their Greenbush SC team does not have an event. The CDYSL rules states that situation is that the coach of the requesting club must contact our players coach for permission before interaction with a player/parent. Allegations of poaching shall be subject to a hearing by the Arbitration Committee, which will set penalties, if any. Often Greenbush SC has a strong relationship with the requesting club and will allow the player to guest play. Unfortunately, in many instances guest playing is a form of player recruitment and may not always be approved. The transfer deadline is also March 1st, per CDYSL Rules.

Outdoor

Leagues

Our teams play in the following outdoor leagues:

  • Capital District Youth Soccer league (CDYSL)
